Hi! I’m Marie-Pier
My fascination with visual arts has been a lifelong journey, but everything clicked back in high school when I first stepped into a darkroom. Watching an image slowly appear on paper for the first time was the exact moment I fell in love with photography.
After several years of sharing that passion as a high school art teacher, I decided to take the leap in 2022 to dedicate myself to creation full-time. That’s how Précision Photographie was born. Today, my approach is centered on being attentive, staying creative, and providing a personalized experience that ensures every project truly comes to life.
While I use digital tools for my daily client work, my personal practice beats to the rhythm of film. I adore analog photography for its intentional slowness and its wonderfully "nerdy" technical side. There’s something deeply rewarding about creating an image from A to Z: from loading the roll and developing the film myself at home, to scanning and finally sharing the result.
Now the self-proclaimed #1 "photo nerd" of the Gaspé Coast, I’m here to put that passion to work for you. Whether you’re looking for photography lessons or polished visual solutions for your latest project, I’m ready to help.

3 things that influence my approach as a photographer
The Arts
My background and passion for the arts guide my approach to photography. I use visual language tools like color, composition, and framing to convey ideas and emphasize the right details to communicate a message. Practices like painting, drawing, and my love for cinema continue to shape my work, blending technical skills with visual storytelling.
Teaching
I love learning and sharing my knowledge, and my teaching experience enriches my work in creative photography. Whether it’s through clear communication, attention to detail, or truly listening to each person, my training helps me understand your needs and goals. My personalized approach allows me to create tailored content, whether it’s photography courses or photo sessions that reflect your vision. For me, every collaboration is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired.
Nostalgia
Born in 1992, I grew up with VHS tapes and disposable cameras. My passion for film photography comes from its timeless charm and its ability to capture the true essence of a moment. This practice directly influences my approach to digital photography, both in how I shoot and how I edit. I love recreating the warmth and authenticity of film while embracing modern tools.
As a lover of all things vintage, I draw inspiration from the objects, fashion, and unique styles of past decades. If you ever find yourself in a thrift shop, you’ll probably spot me there, hunting for accessories for my next creative photoshoots.
