Video Digitization

Over the years, video has evolved through many formats, some of which are now (unfortunately) obsolete. You might have old video tapes or reels filled with precious memories, but no way to play them due to outdated equipment.

Let me bring your original formats back to life, preserving those forgotten memories in a modern digital format so you can enjoy them again.

Here are the 2 accepted formats:

8 mm/Super 8 Film

8mm and Super 8 film were popular ways to record family memories before digital cameras existed. Introduced in the 1930s, 8mm film was small and affordable.

In the 1960s, Super 8 offered better image quality and easy-to-use cartridges. These films are like time capsules filled with nostalgia and a unique vintage charm.

Note: 8 mm film digitization output will be video without audio (most 8 mm films don’t include sound).

Pricing available on request based on the number of reels to be digitized

VHS Tapes

The VHS (Video Home System) was the king of home video in the 1980s and 1990s, revolutionizing how we recorded and shared memories. Families captured milestones, favorite TV shows, and home movies on these tapes. Though DVDs and digital formats have since replaced it, VHS holds a nostalgic place in many hearts.

But did you know that VHS tapes aren’t eternal? Over time, the magnetic material deteriorates, putting your precious memories at risk. By digitizing your tapes, you not only preserve them in a modern, accessible format but also protect them from being lost forever. Plus, you can enjoy them again while clearing up some space in your home.

Service details:

  • Output format: MPEG-4
  • File organization and custom video editing
  • Digital delivery via WeTransfer
  • Return or disposal of original tapes
