Feel free to reach out anytime!<\/span><\/p><h3><strong>Contract for the following photo service:<\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creative Portrait Photo Session (Solo or Duo, 1h or 2h)<\/span><\/p><h4><strong>Your photo package includes:<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A video consultation with the photographer.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A studio or on-site photo session for the selected duration.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pre-production services and session planning (tests, inspiration board, studio setup, or location scouting).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital downloads of JPEG images in two formats: high resolution and compressed.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Post-production work (editing, corrections, and formatting).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One round of corrections (up to 1 hour of editing).<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Payment Terms<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To book your session, a <\/span><b>non-refundable deposit of $50<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is required. This deposit secures your spot and will be deducted from your first invoice.<\/p><p>Billing will be split into two payments:<\/p><ul><li>40% of the amount before the session.<\/li><li>60% upon completion of the contract before your final pictures are delivered.<\/li><\/ul><p>Payment is due within two weeks of receiving the invoice. Delays in payment may result in withholding of deliverables.<\/p><p>Payments can be made online via e-transfer using the details provided on your invoice.<\/p><h3><b>Postponing and Cancellation<\/b><\/h3><p>If you need to postpone your session due to scheduling conflicts or unforeseen changes, you may reschedule within one year of your original date without losing your deposit.<\/p><p>Rescheduling must be requested at least 1 week in advance. Pricing of said rights will be determined based on the type and extent of usage outlined in your custom photo package.<\/p><p>Though not required, a copyright mention in any digital or physical spaces where my work is reproduced is appreciated.<\/p><p>By agreeing to these terms, you grant me permission to use your images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to my website, social media, and portfolio. If you prefer not to have your images used, please let me know in advance.<\/p><h3><b>Client Responsibilities<\/b><\/h3><p>Provide a clear creative brief outlining the goals, style, and key deliverables for the session. Final approval of these details is required before the session date.<\/p><p>Designate a point of contact for the session who can provide immediate feedback and decisions if needed<\/p><p>Obtain any necessary permissions for branding, logos, or proprietary items that appear in the photos<\/p><p>Ensure that all individuals, products, and materials required for the session are present and ready at the agreed time and location. Delays may result in additional charges for extended session time.<\/p><p>Once the files have been delivered, it is your responsibility to store and back them up securely. Images may be deleted from the Pr\u00e9cision Photographie archives one year after delivery.<\/p><h3><b>Liability and Safety<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">While I take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and productive session, I am not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the shoot. Any disruptions may result in additional charges or delays in the project timeline.<\/span><\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe6ae3c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fe6ae3c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Terms of service - Photo and Video Digitization<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b7569d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b7569d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4><strong>Scope of Service<\/strong><\/h4><p>This agreement applies to digitization services provided by Pr\u00e9cision Photographie, covering both photo and video formats.<\/p><h3><b>Photo Digitization Services Include:<\/b><\/h3><ul><li>Scanning of 135mm film, 120mm film, and slides (color or black and white).<\/li><li>Images delivered in JPEG format (2000 x 3000 resolution at 300 dpi).<\/li><li>Scans processed with professional-grade equipment and software, including dust and scratch correction.<\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Video Digitization Services Include:<\/b><\/h3><ul><li><b>8mm Film and Super 8mm Reels:<\/b> Conversion of film reels to digital format (video only, as most 8mm films do not contain audio).<\/li><li><b>VHS Tapes:<\/b> Conversion of VHS video tapes to digital format for long-term preservation and easy access.<\/li><li>Videos delivered in MPEG-4 format.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>All original materials (films, slides, reels, and tapes) will be returned upon completion of the service unless the client requests disposal.<\/p><h3><b>Fees and Payment Terms<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your project and initiate the digitization process. This deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Photo digitization pricing is based on the number of images scanned, with volume discounts available for projects exceeding 48 images.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">8mm reel pricing is provided upon request, depending on the volume of reels to digitize.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">VHS digitization is priced at $20 per hour of video, with a $20 service fee. Volume discounts apply for projects exceeding 6 hours, reducing the hourly rate to $15.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">The final payment  is due upon completion of the service and before the delivery of your scans. Invoices will be sent via QuickBooks, and payment can be made via e-transfer or other methods outlined on the invoice.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Liability and Handling of Originals<\/b><\/h3><ul><li><b>Existing Degradation:<\/b> Pr\u00e9cision Photographie is not responsible for any degradation or loss of image or video quality that has occurred prior to digitization due to the age, improper storage, or handling of the original materials. The condition of your originals may affect the quality of the final digitized output, which is optimized for usability but not the highest possible resolution.<\/li><li><b>Risk During Digitization:<\/b> While every effort is made to handle your originals with the utmost care, there is an inherent risk of accidental damage during the digitization process. By engaging our services, you acknowledge this risk and agree that Pr\u00e9cision Photographie cannot be held liable for any accidental damage incurred during handling or digitization.<\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Scanning Methods<\/b><\/h3><p>To ensure the best possible quality for your digitized materials, we use the following methods:<\/p><ul><li><b>Film Scanning:<\/b> Film negatives and slides are digitized using a mirrorless camera body, a light table, and a copy stand.<\/li><li><b>VHS Digitization:<\/b> VHS tapes are read through a VHS cassette player and captured directly to a computer using specialized software.<\/li><li><b>8 mm Film Digitization:<\/b> 8 mm and Super 8 mm films are digitized frame by frame using a dedicated scanning machine.<\/li><\/ul><h3><b>Disposal of Originals<\/b><\/h3><p>If you do not wish to keep your original formats (e.g., reels, slides, or tapes) after digitization, Pr\u00e9cision Photographie can dispose of them responsibly at your request. Disposal will only occur with your explicit request.<\/p><h3><b>Copyright and Usage Rights<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Clients retain full ownership and copyright of their original images and videos. Digitization does not transfer ownership to Pr\u00e9cision Photographie.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">With your consent, Pr\u00e9cision Photographie may request permission to use select digitized images or short video excerpts for promotional purposes (e.g., social media or portfolio). Permission will always be sought in writing, and you have the right to refuse.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Delivery and Timeline<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Digitized files will be delivered digitally via WeTransfer, organized for ease of access.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Delivery times are typically within 4 weeks of receiving the materials unless otherwise agreed upon. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee of $100, which ensures delivery within a few days instead of weeks.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Clients are responsible for downloading and securely storing their files upon receipt, as Pr\u00e9cision Photographie may delete them after one year from the delivery date.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Additional Services<\/b><\/h3><p>Enhanced correction or specific post-processing requests for photos, as well as video editing are available upon request for an additional fee.<\/p><h3><b>Client Responsibilities<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Clearly label and organize all materials (films, slides, reels, or tapes) before submission to facilitate processing.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Provide accurate details about the desired output format, any special requests, and delivery preferences.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Ensure that submitted materials are in a condition suitable for digitization; severely damaged originals may result in incomplete or poor-quality transfers.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Agreement<\/b><\/h3><p>By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined above. Flexible payment plans may be requested by contacting Pr\u00e9cision Photographie directly.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Course Eligibility<\/b><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">For the From A to M: Master Your Camera\u2019s Manual Mode course, participants are required to bring their own DSLR or mirrorless camera. The camera must have manual mode functionality and interchangeable lenses.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">Participants must provide their camera model during registration for approval.<\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align); font-weight: 400;\">For the Introduction to Analog Photography and the Darkroom course, Pr\u00e9cision Photographie will provide analog cameras and related equipment. Participants may request to use their own cameras, subject to prior approval.<\/span><\/h3><h3><b>Attendance and Scheduling<\/b><\/h3><h4>Attendance<\/h4><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align);\">Participants are expected to attend all scheduled classes. Before registering, participants should carefully review the course schedule, location, and duration to ensure compatibility with their availability.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: var(--text-align);\">No make-up classes are offered by default. Participants who miss a class should contact the instructor to discuss potential catch-up options.<\/span><\/p><h4>Rescheduling and Cancellations<\/h4><p>Classes may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances such as instructor illness or bad weather. Participants will be notified promptly of any changes through the class\u2019 Google Classroom\u2019s feed.<\/p><p>Refunds are not available for missed classes. In the event of class cancellations by Pr\u00e9cision Photographie, alternative dates will be offered.<\/p><h3><b>Course Materials<\/b><\/h3><h4>Usage of Course Materials<\/h4><p>Any instructional materials, guides, or handouts provided during the course are for personal use only and remain the intellectual property of Pr\u00e9cision Photographie.<\/p><p>Participants may not reproduce, share, or distribute these materials without asking the instructor.<\/p><p>All images captured by participants during the course belong to the participant. Pr\u00e9cision Photographie does not claim ownership of these photographs.<\/p><h3><b>Liability and Insurance<\/b><\/h3><h4>Participant Responsibility<\/h4><p>Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their personal property, including cameras, lenses, and other equipment.<\/p><p>For the Introduction to Analog Photography course, participants must handle equipment provided by Pr\u00e9cision Photographie with care. While my insurance may cover certain damages, participants will be held financially responsible for damages caused by gross negligence or misuse, to the extent permitted by law.<\/p><h4>Property and Liability<\/h4><p>Courses are held in rented spaces insured under Pr\u00e9cision Photographie\u2019s Commercial General Liability policy. Damages caused to the space or provided equipment by participants will be their financial responsibility.<\/p><h4>Accidents et blessures<\/h4><p>Pr\u00e9cision Photographie is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages to personal property during the course, except in cases of negligence by the instructor.<\/p><h4>Unforeseen Circumstances<\/h4><p>Pr\u00e9cision Photographie reserves the right to reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances.
